Forever Young

Happy Halloween everyone! I am going to try out a before and after thing for this post.

Before (5:30 PM)
This is kind of a sad Halloween for me, because it's the first year I'm not going trick-or-treating. My parents won't let me anymore because apparently I'm too old. First of all, no one is too old for free candy! Second of all, that depresses me because it obviously means I'm getting older. I'm kind of afraid of growing up because it seems like everyone expects you to be boring and act "normal". However, I'm making a promise to myself right here and now that I will be one of those adults who everyone stares at and thinks are extremely immature. Anyways, back to Halloween. I'm taking my little sister around Trick-or-Treating, and I'm going to make sure she get's tons of candy. Hopefully she'll share some with me? She is dressing up as a koala bear! It is sooo adorable.

After (7 PM)
Well, I think my sister got a pretty good amount of candy. Especially for this neighborhood - we have a bunch of party poopers who don't celebrate/give out candy. And also, she is pretty young so she got tired quickly. Some people mistook her for a boy because her costume has a hood and I guess her voice sounds like a boy's? Also, one lady thought I was her mom! That was kind of embarrassing. Well, I hope you guys had an awesome Halloween!

P.S. I'm sorry that my latest posts haven't really been related to fashion. I promise that future posts will be 100% fashion-related!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Beware: This post has almost nothing to do with fashion.

So today I went to the mall with my best friend, Anna (which is not her real name) to celebrate my birthday. I had a Forever21 gift card (thank you grandma!) and so I bought a really cute sweater, some tights, and a headband. Afterwords, we went to the movie theater and watched The Social Network. Which was amazing! If you haven't seen it, you should, and I'm not just saying that because I think the actor who plays Eduardo is totally hot.

We then came back to my house and had some coconut cream pie - yummm...

What a Feeling

It's 12:07 AM right now, which means it's officially my birthday! This means only one more year until I can get my license. Umm...you may want to keep this date on the calendar and stay off the roads for a week or so. Anyways, tomorrow my best friend in the entire world, who for privacy's sake I will call Anna, is going to the mall with me for some shopping. After that we're going to see a movie that I have been wanting to see: The Social Network. It looks pretty good to me, don't you think?

Well, I better get to bed, I don't want to be tired the rest of the day!

Once in a Lifetime

I recently went to Seattle and did a little shopping, so I thought I'd show off what I got!

This is from Urban Outfitters - It was originally $48 but was on sale for $19.99!
This is also from Urban Outfitters and was $58.
This is from H&M and was $14.95.

It was a really fun day. My dad and I drove up so I could receive an award from John Hopkins along with other kids (note: I am a really big nerd, not something I really want to get into on this blog though). After that I basically dragged my dad all over Seattle shopping. We then went to an amazing restaurant called Cutters Bayhouse and had salmon and steak. I love salmon but for some reason my mom despises it, so I never get to eat it!

$78.00
Worn with a dolman top, tights, and black oxfords

$44.82
Paired with a necklace, skinny jeans, and flats

$17.80
With bracelets, tights, and black motorcycle boots.

Just What I Needed

Okay, I can't help being like every other teenagers who loves Forever 21. I know some people have a problem with the quality of their clothes, but I have never had a problem with anything I've bought from there (although I probably just jinxed myself by saying that...we'll see). And if you have had a problem with the quality, you can't really complain because it's so inexpensive. I kind of feel like I'm advertising for them right now...

$19.80

As you can see, I'm really bad with the photo credits thing. When I see a picture I like on lookbook or a random blog that I'm looking at, I will just save it to my thumb drive for inspiration, so I almost never know the source. If you ever see a picture of mine and know where it's from, please tell me so I can give it proper credit!

Midnight Confessions

I have a problem. I'm extremely nocturnal. If I could, I would stay up until 3 or so in the morning and wake up at about noon everyday, but sadly I can't. Instead, I have to wake up every morning at 6 in order to get ready for school - although I still end up staying up until about 11 or 12 every night, which has really been making me a sleep-deprived (grumpy) teenager. What can I say? I can't help it.

Enough about that. Let's move on to better subjects, such as...hmm...I don't know...fashion. Yes, this is a fashion blog. So, if you thought this was going to be, say, a blog about astronomy, you should probably exit out of this. But, if you are interested in clothes, shoes, etc. and are drooling at the mere mention of those things then you've come to the right place. Now, because of that problem of mine I mentioned, I've decided to name this blog 'Midnight Posts'. If that name doesn't really make sense to you, I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out by looking at the time this was posted. Yep, at midnight. Blog posts at midnight. Midnight Posts. Get it?

Okay, now let's get down to business. Fall is my favorite time of the year - you get to jump in piles of leaves, stay in and read good books, and have an excuse to eat pie (don't get me started on pie). Also, you get to start wearing things like boots, scarfs, and sweaters.

See? These are the perfect boots for Fall. Of course, as with everything else from Anthropologie, the price is pretty outrageous ($248) - at least for a jobless teenager. But a girl can dream, can't she?

I love all these outfits with boots:

I know the last picture is from Sally Jane Vintage, but I'm not sure where the other four are from. So, if you know, please tell me so I can give credit!
